I’m Lovin’ It! (The attention, that is…)

Today I got to go to Children’s Hospital after my brother and I decided to shut the door on my thumb. Boy, did that hurt! I lost my entire thumbnail and root somewhere in the door jamb and broke the tip of my thumb; I also got a couple stitches before they put this cool cast on me that matches my Crocs. The really cool thing is, I finally got a big balloon with a smiley face on it to carry around and Cameron can’t touch it! And Grandma, thanks for the tea!

Championships!

Saturday was Championships in Wooster. Kelsey swam in four events and placed 3rd in three of them and second in the other. We are very proud of her accomplishments this year considering that last year she only swam one event at Champs. Kelsey put a lot of effort into swimming this year with early morning practice at 6:20 a.m. and would sometimes go to practice at a second pool after the first one ended. Good job Kelsey!

Punderson State Park

Tuesday we went to Punderson State Park to meet up with our friends Jim, and his son Josh, who were camping. We did some fishing and later had steaks and potatoes that Jim cooked over the open fire. I must say, this is definitely the way to camp. After supper we roasted marshmallows, made s'mores and the boys played with fire. Josh may have spent a little too much time in the smoke:)

Block Party

I almost forgot…July 11th was our almost annual block party. As always we had a great time even though the numbers were down this year.

Meet Apollo!

We have a new addition to the family! His name is Apollo and he's an 18 month old Golden Retriever. It was hard to get a picture of him dry when we took him to Bow Wow Beach Sunday.
